Bottom Line?
What are your performance standards?
What would an increase in your overall ratings mean to your bottom line?
How do you track and measure you team's performance?
Do the members of your organization know what's expected of them?
Does each person know their current performance rating?
What is the value to each person for an increase rating?
What incentives do people have for increasing their performance?
9:  Evaluating
Create a tracking system to measure the effectiveness of your program.

This can be as simple as a random sampling of employees every few months to gauge their perceptions of the recognition program.

It can also include more formal systems where you track how your goals and objectives are being supported and met through your recognition program.

Every recognition program can support different goals.  Examples include such things as:

- Decreases in work-related injuries,
- Increase in productivity,
- Decreases in customer complaints,
- Increases in quality levels,
- Decreases in absenteeism.
