Bottom Line?
What are your performance standards?
What would an increase in your overall ratings mean to your bottom line?
How do you track and measure you team's performance?
Do the members of your organization know what's expected of them?
Does each person know their current performance rating?
What is the value to each person for an increase rating?
What incentives do people have for increasing their performance?
3:  Keys To Success
Every successful recognition program contains four keys to success:

COMMUNICATION - design your program so that everybody understands what it takes to become a winner by improving his/her own or group's performance.

STANDARDS - best results come from competing against a standard, not against each other.

REINFORCERS - make them symbolic.  Large tangibles such as TV sets and trips can take the fun of it for most people because they think they won't win.  It's much better to have many smaller tangibles than just a few large ones.

FUN - if the program isn't fun, it won't be reinforcing, and if it's not reinforcing, it won't be effective.
